Lees Hill Renewable Energy Park

Our Proposals

We are proposing to develop Lees Hill Renewable Energy Park, located in the Scottish Borders, approximately 5km west of Duns.

We have been undertaking a range of public consultation since 2022 and the plans have changed in response to feedback gathered locally, alongside the results of our technical assessments.

This has resulted in the number of turbines being reduced and refining the area for solar installation.

We submitted an application to the Scottish Government in April 2024, this can be viewed in our document library or on the Scottish Government portal.

Our final plans

The final plans that have now been submitted to the Energy Consents Unit include:

  • 6 turbines up to 200m high to tip
  • 60MW solar installation
  • 60MW battery storage facility
  • Turbine foundations and hardstanding’s
  • Onsite substation and control building
